About Me

Hi! I'm a San Franciscan who enjoys traveling, reading, eating, learning, and laughing. On weekends in SF, I like to read the newspaper, go to the park, peruse libraries, and try new recipes and restaurants.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to see different parts of the world and meet locals from different cultures and learn from them.
I also hope to host travelers in SF and share this beautiful city with them!

Interests

Hip hop, the planet, social justice, food, reading, and taking care of my body!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Bay Area hip hop, rap, 90's hip hop and 90's pop, as well as funk and trip hop- Blue Scholars, The Internet, Banks, Tame Impala
Wes Anderson movies, documentaries (especially Michael Moore), animated movies
I loved Lolita, Farenheit 451, The Perk of Being a Wallflower, The Bell Jar, The Electric Acid Kool Aid Test, and everything by Haruki Murakami, Rebecca Solnit, and Derrick Jensen. I recently finished a novel called Americanah, by Chiamanda Ngozi Adiche- highly recommend!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked in Snowqualmie Pass, in Washington State, near Mt. Rainier. It was so beautiful and rewarding.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've learned to appreciate my life and I've learned how to listen. I always enjoy talking with others about anything-- from comparative politics to animals to environmental science to how to prepare the best coconut rice. I would be so thrilled to meet others who are invested in their communities and who have different perspectives than I do!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook, I can help clean (I really like cleaning and organizing), and I can tell you all about San Francisco! We can trade books and share music.
Also, once I'm back home from traveling I am looking forward to hosting guests!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Pakistan, Spain, Sweden, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In
