About Me

Currently in the second year of my PhD at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, looking at ways to refine microbial risk assessments in recreational waters. Health risk modelling! exciting stuff, huh?! Going through a major learning curve in the micro labs.

I consider myself a laid-back person and I enjoy my own company, but also like to meet new people and party. Can't say no to an adventure =D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet great new people and have some amazing life experiences. So far I'm excelling at this. Having met beautiful people from an amazing spread of countries, I've got my fair share of stories to tell.

Interests

Sport (tennis, volleyball, pole dancing, ultimate frisbee), card/board games, reading (scifi, fantasy), adventure tourism (trekking, climbing, rafting) and learning new skills.

Music, Movies, and Books

Broad scope, but mostly Rock/Metal/some popular pop.
Five finger death punch, Machine head, Disturbed, Steel Panther, Adele, Maroon 5.
I'm a massive book worm. I've made the leap to ebooks on my phone so I can carry a library of adventures around with me. Give me any fiction sci-fi/fantasy/crime!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crashed a scooter/bike in Thailand and spent 3 months on crutches. Refused to go back to the hospital when they told me I might need a skin graft on my ankle (my butt skin, noo!)

Teach, Learn, Share

Would love to learn an instrument. It's on my to-do list. Recently purchased a guitar, so I'm on my way!
I like to cook and teach people the basics if they're not big on cooking (or learn new flavours myself!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Fairly decent cook, happy to take that responsibility in exchange for lodging :) Love to do things spontaneously and drag along those around me.
Terrible drunk singer, but Ill do that too if it's necessary.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia
