Hi !
I am Sophie Reyes, a Spanish student in her 20s and I love getting out of my confort zone by traveling or living abroad. I am passionate about meeting new cultures and people.
I am really curious and adventurous and I am passionate about arts in all its forms. I love acting, reading, writing, music (rock, jazz, ska, reggae, punk...) and hanging out in general !
As a translator student (but mostly due to my passion for traveling) I speak fluently both Spanish and French and I can't way to improve my English in the best way possible! I am also learning Italian and Portuguese at the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe this is the best way to really make the most of a travel. I have never being or behaved as a tourist as I love to experience and learn from different cultures and backgrounds by getting in touch with them directly.
I am a friendly, open-minded, easy-going woman in her 20s who always look on the bright side. I love to hang out and discovering new places but I am also happy with less than a beer and a nice conversation. Even if I have traveled a lot around Europe and moved out three times, I have a very poor sense of orientation (I would appreciate personal help rather than a gps !)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a cine-bibliophile so I just can't single one out...
Some movies that have moved me are Cidade de Deus, La Haine, A Clockwork Orange, Requiem for a Dream, Amélie...
I am passionate about literature and I love reading and writing both prose and poetry. Some authors that have shaped my mind are Lorca, Kafka, Bukowski, Némirovsky, Salinas, Baudelaire, Beauvoir, Camus...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been living in Amiens, in France, during 10 of the happiest months of my life. I have been travelling all over Europe and meeting people from all over the world and I keep a lot of them as closest friends.

When I was 17, I had the chance to acting in a stage play in the prison of Seville, a really rewarding experience !

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you both Spanish and French and I have experience in doing it, so you can find a nice, funny teacher on me ! I have been in an independent theater company for 5 years so I know a lot of drama games as well, and a lot of Spanish games in general.
I love cooking, trying new recipes and sharing with friends the amazing Spanish cuisine ! In addition to tapas and thanks to my time in France, I can prepare some of the best crêpes you could ever taste.
But most of all, I can offer you a good, varied conversation with a permanent big smile on my face !
