About Me
Time, what is time?
If you had to define this little, every day used word, what would be your definition of it? A natural scientist would give you the facile formula t = s / v and would think he dissolved the whole problem. A world-wise person would say that you just have to look at your clock. According to that one day has 24 hours, 1440 minutes or 86400 seconds. And for him everything would be ticked off. A philosopher would answer the question with a counter question: What time do you mean – the objective, real time or the subjective one everybody has a different feeling of?
The “real” time is the one the world-wise person speaks about. It is the one everybody has to deal with and to live after in our society. You and me: everyone. In contrast the subjective meaning of time depends on each single person and situation. Once in a while – when you enjoy every little instant and do not want the moment to end – the time seems to go by faster as you like it. But now and then some situations – mostly when you are bored or have to do things you abhor – produce a frozen impression; the time do not want to pass.
In the end the objective and subjective time is only infrequently synchronic. It is certain, too that you can live every moment just once in your life. Neither a dream, a wish, a supplication nor money, gold or other riches can buy or make you relive a passed instant. You get merely one chance to spend your time how you like it. So you have to spend every moment wisely.
It is unique and will never come again.
