ABOUT ME

Hej! I am a 27 year old artist/performer/theatre worker from Sweden, who's life goals include meeting Oprah, touring the world with my one-person-show and having a garden to take care of.

More words about me: I just finished my BA in Theatre at Lund University, which is both great and terrifying. I've worked with theatre and performance pretty much my entire life, done everything from touring with a brasilian samba group to stage managing at music festivals to doing a drag interpretation of (urban fantasy series) the Mortal Instruments.

When I'm not involved in making things happen on a stage somewhere, you can probably find me either reading or watching tv-shows. At the moment I'm totally hooked on Pretty Little Liars, Orphan Black and recently finished (and loved) My Mad Fat Diary. I also love food and cooking - I'm very vegan/vegetarian friendly, but do eat meat sometimes - and also like to cook for other people (I'm that person always persuing people to have me make them snacks and things).

As much as I can I try to work as an active member of the queer community by organising and doing what I can to make queer events happen. I really enjoy exchanging experiences with community organisers and people who work for social issues in different ways.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I participate as a surfer. I'm going to the US on July 1st, booked a ticket to Seattle and one home from NYC five weeks later - hope to meet and stay with some cool CS people while I'm there!

I used to live in a bigger place where there was an actual space to host people, but sadly my 200sq ft apartment wont allow such luxuries as "separate rooms" and "couches"... Really look forward to host some time in the future, though!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a lot of people from all over the world, and I really enjoy that. I've also surfed my fair share of couches/floors/matresses, not mainly through CS though. But I love meeting new people when I travel and experience travel through meeting people when they visit my city.

When I travel I feel really disconnected from the place I'm in if I just experience it from a hotel or hostel. For me the essence of travelling is to get a feel for the everyday of the people who live in the place I'm visiting. That's what I love about surfing: walking in the resedential areas, going to grocery stores, hearing the stories of the people I stay with.

Walked around the countryside of norhtern Scotland, the most beautiful landscape with tiny villages and houses in between the massive nature.

Watched the pacific ocean crash onto Ocean Beach in San Francisco. AND hagning out with the Pacific again at Rialto beach in Washington, a year later. I love the Pacific ocean.

Had midnight kebabs in a small german town after partying with samba groups all night
