I'm a mom, entrepreneur, avid bicycle commuter, baker and wanna-be gardener. I moved to Portland OR a year ago to have the opportunity to walk my son to school and the decision has been amazing. I love traveling and have thus far used Airbnb as a way to hang in neighborhoods and meet wonderful hosts. I seem to have been missing this platform. So much for being a techy.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love traveling and talking to people. Visiting new friends is so rewarding! I have some upcoming travel plans around the world and have been told by friends from multiple avenues that this is where I should be to connect with folks and find a place to lay my head.
Music, Movies, and Books
Current books/authors: Middlesex, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, Love in the Time of Cholera, Sex at Dawn, Jonathan Seagull Livingston, The Desire Map, Pema Chodron, Eckhart Tolle, elephant journal I don't watch tv, but sometimes a funny movie or documentary about nature is a nice way to end the day. A play of Mary Poppins topped the list for 2014. I've got a Byron Bay blues fest ticket in Australia for April!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Climb Mt Adams. We didn't summit, but the experience of what I feel must be similar to walking on the moon was incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach a little boy how to grow into a kind, caring and responsible man. I've taught yoga in the past and spend my days teaching social workers how to use a software program to make their work much easier. I want to learn Spanish, salsa, gardening (remembering to water, specifically), and I'm practicing inversions in yoga and ok that it's a lifelong practice. I love to share my baked goods with friends and my neighbors.
What I Can Share With Hosts
My smile, friendship and I'll probably have some chocolate. I can cook and clean and definitely will clean after myself.
