About Me
Hello there! I'm Steph from the States. I did a couple of couchsurfings many moons ago and am excited to be back and traveling to new places again
I'm a clean, quiet, respectful, independent, and goofy goose. I'm happy to hang out and share conversation, maybe even activities if it works out, but I also value my alone/down time, so I'll need to snag some of that at the end of the day
I'm currently tooting around the southeastern corner of the world, hopefully our paths will cross soon!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I primarily do Workaway/HelpX, but I sometimes like to take a break. The reason I'm traveling is to learn about what it's really like to exist in all these different cultures - what better way to do that than by staying with the locals?

Music, Movies, and Books
I'll listen to any music that isn't screamo or pop-country (no hate if either of those are your things, they're just not for me)
I love a variety of books from 19th century novels (Jane Eyre is my favorite), to mysteries, to popular fantasy like LOTR and Harry Potter
I like all types of movies so long as they aren't scary - I have enough anxiety naturally thank you very much
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Picking just one is ridiculous who can do that. So here's a selection, I've:
Climbed in the canyons of Tenerife
Kayaked in the Scottish lochs
Parasailed above the Mexican coastline
Hiked in the hills of New Zealand
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some German (unless you're German-speaking, in which case Ich spreche kein Deutsch...), how to play piano or read music, how to use power tools and DIY/fix your own stuff, how to make tofu delicious, how to cartwheel with one hand... and many more deeply important things
What I Can Share with Hosts
I enjoy hearing about people's experiences and the crazy antics they've gotten up to. We could swap stories, opinions, perspectives, and have great conversation
We could also just politely nod at each other as we go about our separate lives, I'm down for whatever
