About Me
Hey fellow Couchsurfers,
I'm Steven, I like artsy fartsy cinema, different languages, Federweißer, Bavarian idioms, getting lost.
PHILOSOPHY:
Enjoy the rain - it still rains if you don't
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've had a wonderful time with Couchsurfing so far and I'm looking forward to meeting more of you wonderful people! It's so nice to share a home with somebody you don't really know and then become closer over the course of a few days. I really appreciate participating in other peoples' interests, dreams, ideas and passions. I really liked the conversations I've had so far over Couchsurfing. :)
Interests
I have a big soft spot for Arthouse cinema (that is to say movies not just for entertainment - which is also fine - but for the sake of exploring new possibilities of film) and like to nerd about movies. When everyday life gets too real I enjoy watching a crazy movie to feel alive again :D
Studying mathematics has also really broadened my mind and I'm very grateful for it. I am actually fascinated by mathematics but I am aware many people are uncomfortable with the subject so don't worry if you don't share this inclination :D

Music, Movies, and Books
As for movies I suggest: "American Beauty", "Io sono l'amore", "The Lobster", "Coco", "Everything Everywhere all at once" and the phantasmagoric Tilda Swinton in general
Music: everything you can dance to, but I do like soul classics, old school rap, jazz (Nina Simone), Bossa Nova, classical music (beethoven, sibelius, ravel)
Books: "The perfume" (Süßkind), "Siddharta" (Hesse), "Brave New World" (Huxley), "L'étranger" (Camus)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My year abroad. I never would've thought a country so close to where I grew up could have such a different set of everyday habits.
And also hitchhiking from Toulouse to Caen with a very good friend, it was truly an adventurous and crazy ride. In my experience, people who take in hitchikers mostly have very interesting stories to tell.
Teach, Learn, Share
I play the double bass and can help you out if you need math or some coding. I also have some language skills I'm happy to share if they appear to be sufficient. ^^ On the other hand I‘m trying to get better at speaking spanish, I already know some grammar and just need more exercise and vocabulary.
If you are a good cook, I would be glad to have a look over your shoulder. If you wanna jam together, I'm also down for singing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
