Hosting Update: Currently hosting only Indian citizens (yes paperwork = not fun 😄). For non-Indian travelers, the process involves passport copies and a lot of “formalities,” so I’m skipping that for now. BUT—you are always welcome to drop by for coffee or dinner. Good conversations requires no paperwork. About Me: I am a curious solo, slow traveler who enjoys life’s simple pleasures—walking in the rain, swimming in the ocean, meaningful conversations and experiencing different perspectives and lifestyles. I don’t travel to “cover places”. I travel to meet people and eat like a local. Honestly, some of my best memories are not from monuments but from random kitchens, street food stalls and conversations that were never planned. Solo travel has been my unofficial life coach—made me question things, unlearn a lot and become more easygoing. I am pretty chill, non-judgmental and a good listener (certified by random travelers across the country). My Home and Values: This is a laid-back, discrimination free home. Everyone is welcome, regardless of background, beliefs or identity—whether you are vegan or non-vegan, any religion or caste, LGBTQ+ or straight, or anything else. What matters here is simple: mutual respect and good vibes. A Small Note: Let’s not mix Couchsurfing with dating apps like Tinder or Bumble. I don’t take or give massages from Couchsurfers. For Surfers: I host solo travelers or couples with kids. Please read my home section before requesting—especially to understand local guidelines and a bit about my parents. They’re a bit traditional, I’m atheist and more easygoing… so it’s a fun cultural mix at home. Minimum stay is 2 nights. Longer stays can be discussed depending on the situation.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love Couchsurfing… though ironically, when I travel, I mostly end up in hostels or homestays. My trips are usually unplanned and even I don’t know when I’ll reach my next destination—so committing in advance is a bit risky (for both of us). That said, I’ve been lucky to meet some incredibly kind locals along the way who hosted or helped me when I least expected it. So this is me trying to return the favor to the universe—by opening my home to fellow travelers. For me, Couchsurfing isn’t just about a place to crash, it’s about good conversations, shared meals and those random moments that make travel memorable.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
If any of this sounds like your kind of story, we’ll probably vibe • Explored offbeat parts of India, including tribal regions and the Northeast—staying with locals and experiencing life beyond the usual travel map • Solo camped in the Himalayas near the Ganges (equal parts peaceful and “what am I doing here?” moments) • Slept under a sky full of stars—one of those moments that made me feel very small in a good way •Spent time and meditated with an Aghori baba—followers of a path known for extreme rituals, including consuming human remains, which completely challenged my perspective. • Randomly tried nude swimming in the ocean—unexpectedly one of the most freeing experiences • Had a surreal moment in a Rishikesh jungle—despite my fear of dogs, two of them followed me and when a predator (likely a leopard or tiger) appeared, we all somehow made it out safe… still not sure who saved whom. Still one of the most confusing and intense experiences I’ve had. • I believe in respecting food—so I try not to waste what’s served. This has led to trying some unusual things during travel (let’s just say my definition of “food” has expanded a lot) And honestly, there are many more stories—it’s just hard to fit them all here. Some are better shared over a drink or a meal 🙂
Teach, Learn, Share
Mumbai really fascinates me—the city has layers of history and stories that never seem to end. I’ve joined quite a few heritage walks but I still feel there’s so much more hidden beneath the surface. Happy to share the stories and bits of Mumbai that I’ve picked up along the way. I’ve also traveled across different parts of India, so I can swap travel stories, tips, and experiences from the road. I can share/teach: • Cooking simple Indian meals (home-style, not MasterChef 😄) • Travel experiences and stories from across India I’d love to learn: • Pottery • Baking (I already have an oven—just need the skills!) • Skating • Fishing I’ve also recently started practicing yoga, so I’m always up for conversations around it—or learning from someone more experienced. If you enjoy exchanging stories, skills or just learning something new together, we’ll get along well 🙂
What I Can Share With Hosts
I would say the best thing I can offer is genuine company—hopefully the start of a good friendship and some memorable moments. I strongly believe that good food and drinks lead to great conversations. So I’m always happy to either take my host out for a meal or cook some simple Indian food at home (nothing fancy, but made with good intent 😄). Also, I come with travel stories, curiosity and an easygoing vibe—so expect relaxed conversations, shared experiences and hopefully a fun time together.
My Interests
I love exploring offbeat places especially rural India, where you get to experience real local life—local food, local drinks and authentic culture. I also enjoy cooking and trying out new things in the kitchen. Adventure for me is more about experiences like camping in forests or near river being close to nature and exploring—not extreme stuff like bungee jumping. Mountains and swimming are my happy places—honestly, that’s my version of heaven. And then there are days when I do absolutely nothing—just lie in bed, listen to music and enjoy being lazy (balance is important). I am a social drinker and enjoy a good gin and tonic. Lately, I’ve been exploring the growing Indian gin scene and experimenting with simple cocktails using local fruits. If any of this sounds like your vibe, we’ll probably get along well 🙂
