Looking to see a bit of this small rock we live on!
I'm 33, spent some time out of high school in the military, then working for the government, then going to college for animation. Traveling has been something I've put off too many times, and now it is time for me to see what the world has to offer.
I feel seeing different cultures is a great way to expand your mind.
I like to take a rational approach to life. It may seem cliche, but I really do believe in the "golden rule".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My only real experience with couch surfing came when I was in the military. I was stationed in Hawaii and was taking a trip home to California. I took a free military flight from Hawaii to California, and landed in San Diego around midnight. I was hoping I could just go to the airport from there (we landed on a military base). I saw a Marine who was working in the air traffic control tower, who was on his break. I asked him if he knew where I could catch a cab to take me to the airport. He told me that unless I already had a ticket for a flight (which I didn't) that I would be stuck there until the ticketing counters open later that morning. He offered his couch to me, and a ride to the airport, if I wanted to wait around for 15 minutes for his shift to end. Needless to say, I took him up on this generous offer. It was a great experience, and I'm thankful for his kindness.
Interested in so many things. I'm at a place where I love learning, more so than I ever have before in my life.
Animation is a big part of my life these days. That being said, I enjoy watching movies (it's kind of how you learn, if you were a writer, you'd probably read a lot, etc). I love art. I love looking at art as well as making my own. I plan to do as much drawing as I can while I'm traveling.
