Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to try Couchsurfing not just to save money, but to truly experience places through the people who live there. Hotels and hostels are fine, but they can’t offer the same kind of local connection, spontaneous stories, or cultural insight that staying with someone can.

I love the idea of sharing conversations over tea, getting tips that don’t exist on the internet, and maybe even cooking together or exploring a neighborhood side by side. I believe travel is most meaningful when it’s about people, not just places — and Couchsurfing feels like the perfect way to make that happen.
