About Me

I have lived on three continents, been to five (as of 2015), speak several languages, and enjoy food from all over the world.
Travel is by far my biggest passion; I have always had wanderlust.
To me, travelling is about discovering the world and discovering myself in that process; it is education and a way of life.
I greatly enjoy interacting with and making friends with people from all over the world, learning about different countries, cultures, customs, and ways of life.I am interested in anything and everything global.

I am always planning my next trip - be it a long trip or short trip, domestic or international. There is so much to see, and so much to experience!

Some popular travel quotes I really like:

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel, read only a page" - St. Augustine

"Not all those who wander are lost" - J.R. Tolkien

If you are sending me a request to surf my couch, please note the following (I hate to put this in the About Me section, but I have been inundated with requests from people who have failed to read the My Home section, hence I have no choice):

1) I can host only on weekends (Friday evening - Sunday night)
2) One surfer at a time, maximum
3) I can host only people with references
4) No last minute requests, please

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a fantastic way to meet travellers from around the globe.
I have surfed, hosted and travelled with several CSers. Many CSers have met me for coffee/tea and shown me around their cities. I have also written to CSers with travel related questions, and I am pleased to answer any questions you have. Thanks to CS - I have made several good friends in lands near and far.

I am very interested in exchanging travel and/or life experiences with like-minded people: I greatly enjoy conversation. If you'd like to talk or meet, please write to me - I look forward to hearing from you.
