life, the universe and everything
After a long time of studying life out of my class room and the university's lecture hall, I tried a different angle: learning about life by traveling.
The big trip included a couple of months traveling around the globe with visits in Canada, South America, Australia, South East Asia and Eastern Europe, and of course some couchsurfing experience.
I grew up in Vienna and lived there for the most time of my life so far. Then I moved to Stockholm and fell so much in love with the city, that I never wanted to go back.
Back in Vienna, I'm rediscovering the good spots, Vienna is not that bad at all. There is actually a reason for it being (one of) the most livable cities in the world. If you come and visit, I'm happy to show you why.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A hosted a couple of people in my tiny apartment in Vienna, which was always a lot of fun; I surfed on a few couches, and I am looking forward to gaining more experience.
Languages, books, movies, photography. If I can afford the time, I love to go to film festivals, photography exhibitions, the theatre and read a lot of (mostly German) books.
Snowboarding, everything that has to do with snow. Yes, I prefer winter to summer.
Mathematics, kind of.

Music, Movies, and Books
I tend to like thoughtful and melancholic books and music, like
Arcade Fire, Belle and Sebastian, Bloc Party, Bright Eyes, Interpol, Muse, Coeur de Pirate, ...
and Thomas Bernhard, Heinrich Böll, Fjodor Dostojewskij, Ernest Hemingway, Tennessee Williams, ...
but I also admire the books of those who have seen and experienced a lot in their lives and write about it, like two of my favorite writers Max Frisch and Stefan Zweig.
and there is a lot of other music as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
the Alps in a snowy winter, northern Sweden in summer; life, everyday.
