My name is Sugdiyona (Diona is the shorter version). I’m 24 years old, a feminist, photographer and social activist.

I have graduated from the University of World Languages (majoring in teaching English) in Tashkent. Back in 2021 I got Fulbright scholarship by Department of State and studied as an exchange student at Emporia State University in Kansas, US.

I’ve been working mainly in social development projects of international organizations like the UN, OSCE. Right now I’m working as a project manager in ecological projects at the ministry of ecology of Uzbekistan.

I love doing photography, I got to display some of my works at photo exhibitions in Tashkent. At some point would love to do a documentary project about the lives of monks in Tibet.

I am into mindfulness and spirituality practices, love exploring and learning about different religions and cultures in general.

If you’re into art and music, then we’ll definitely find a common ground because I love going out to museums and cultural events and would love to recommend you some too. I play the guitar and recently bought Uzbek national drumming instrument Doira and am learning to play it too.

I really appreciate mindful, kind people, and myself am trying to be better at being so day by day.
I am open to meet new people of different backgrounds, I can show around the city and take to cultural events.

Important: I can show around and potentially host female travelers (or couples). I don’t host male travelers, but can give you advice or show around the city.

I made my big dream come true by flying from one corner of the US to the other to enjoy the live concert of Coldplay in Seattle which I could never imagine to come true that soon.
