My name is not "summerblind" or "summer" - I just have an old CS profile and never changed my username to my actual name because it reminds me of a particular feeling I had when I made this account way back when in 2010! If you request me, please mention my "real" name :) so I know you read through my profile and references.

It's hard to describe myself in a small box but I would say that I am an outgoing-ly shy person. I love art in all forms and am just trying to be a little less embarrassed to express myself every day. Always and forever learning.

I'm kind of always working on a project. I like making art and giving it away, it's a therapeutic experience. Recently I've been getting into embroidery and fibers (sewing, knitting, etc). I've always been a writer - so lots of that too!

I hold strong convictions. I love to laugh. I can be quite serious and also, not so much. Someone once said that even when I am serious, I am always keen to joke. I am in love with this world and try to see beauty where I can, maybe be able to translate what I see into words. Big fan of the forest, natural bodies of water, interesting smells. Mostly trying to be outside and in the sun.

I don't log on here nearly enough but I do get emails - so definitely try me when looking for a host, cause if I can, I will try to make it work!

I am on Couchsurfing because the connections you make with fellow travelers/locals is unbeatable. I have met incredible people on Couchsurfing and some of my favorite memories involve the amazing hosts/guests I was lucky to have the chance to meet. This website has given me so many valuable friendships and experiences. I really can't imagine traveling any other way :) I'm on couchsurfing to expand the community I get to experience in this world.

Right now, I'm on couchsurfing to meet people in the cities where I live, to ask questions, or find an adventure buddy!

I can share words, poetry, prose, anything. I can teach you how to play a drawing game I learned from one of my own surfers called "Consequences." I can find harmonies with you and strum a few chords on a ukulele. I can share my own stories, empathy, a listening and neutral ear. I also know a million random summer camp games and crafts.

I make a mean soup and am always down to bake something. Also, breakfast tacos are life and regular occurrence.
