About Me

CURRENT MISSION

meeting other cultures

ABOUT ME

My name is Susan. Together with Theo I travelled a lot.
Mostly on motorbikes through Africa.
After our children were born we settled in Erica, a small village in The Netherlands, where we started a small cheesefactory. Since a few years we only sell cheese on the market. Our children are grown up now and start to travell by by themselves.
From our daughter we heard about couchsurfing and found it could be something for us.

PHILOSOPHY

Hate is not the solution.
Love shall bring the revolution.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have a small loghome as a guesthouse in the garden.
There is space for max. 3 to4 people. But camping is also possible.
Of course we hope to be able to find cheap places to sleep, when we are travelling, and meeting other people and cultures when we are on the road.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not yet. Hopefully very soon.
Apart from a backpacker, who did not have a place to sleep.

Interests

Susan: Nature, Cultures, ancient cultures.
Theo: Technics, motorbikes and far away countries.

Music, Movies, and Books

All kind of music. Depends on the mood I am in. I like classical music also.
Relaxing movies, like James Bond. But also interesting movies
Mostly new age books, and books about old cultures. Special interrest:celtics and Africa.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling the sahara.
Chased by an elephant.
Camping in the okavango delta, surrounded by angry hippo's
Celebrating midsummer at stonehenge.

Teach, Learn, Share

We have a wide interest and hope to share this with other people.
And Theo is the best for your broken down motorbike!
