CURRENT MISSION To spread positivity and show the good that exists in the world and to step out of my comfort zone whenever possible. I also have a bucket list of 80 items (and growing) that I try to cross items off of. ABOUT ME When I studied/traveled in Europe for six months in 2004, I traveled to 10 countries and met some amazing people from around the world. However, it took until I had an opportunity to travel back to Europe in 2008 for my MBA program that I decided to couchsurf - when I spent time experiencing the generosity of people in Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland. From that point, I was hooked and decided to host/couchsurf whenever the opportunity presented itself. MY BUCKET LIST As I mention, I have a bucket list and like to experience things to achieve those tasks. Some of the random things I have done from my list included: -Standing 3500 feet over the Norwegian fjords on Kjeragbolten (Google it!) -Been dogsledding in the Arctic, -Watched the Northern Lights in Finland and Alaska, but even from our house in New Jersey! -Stood in the shadow of the moon during a solar eclipse (in China, Tennessee, and New York) -Biked across America four times in an hour (there's a loophole), -Traveled across the US to do a hike with people I had never met before and only talked to on the internet (I probably trust people too much) -Played "Rock, Paper, Scissors" across an international border (more than once) -Photographed a Dave Matthews Band concert (my favorite band) -Watched the All Blacks rugby team perform the Haka

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I am looking to help build trust between members of the CS community and to help build relationships even when couches aren't required. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Met a couchsurfing host in Colorado and it was a great experience and it grew from there. I have CouchSurfed in Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Bahamas...as well as spots across the United States (including a cross-country drive) and have met various CouchSurfers at other times. We've hosted numerous CouchSurfers in New Jersey over the years, including a few people biking across the United States and one that was running across the US. I even went bobsledding with an Olympic bobsled driver with my host in Latvia, shared a beachfront beer with our host in the Bahamas, and hiked the Great Wall of China with a group of couchsurfers from around the world.
Music, Movies, and Books
All types of music, from rock to soul, I pretty much listen to everything. I want to hear international music too!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Stepped onto Kjeragbolten, a boulder lodged in a crack of a mountain 3400 feet up. Saw Pope John Paul II speak in the Vatican City. Went cycling through the Pyrenees in Spain. Bobsledded with the Latvian Olympic Team (as a guest). Got engaged to a wonderful woman in front of the Pyramids in Egypt. Saw the Northern Lights in Finland and Alaska. Saw a total solar eclipse in China.
