Good morning, world! I am Lana- a teacher from Tbilisi, Georgia. I've always been dreaming of travelling, and finally at some point this dream came true- I started backpacking, hitchhiking and exploring this wonderful crazy world.

I consider myself a lucky person, cuz even if I sometimes can't find inspiration- inspiration still finds me ^_^

I met so many amazing people in CS, and thanks to this platform in 2019 I met my husband! Now we are exploring the world together.

Since my husband is from Poland and I am from Georgia, every year we try to spend 4-5 months in Georgia, 4-5 months in Poland, and travel for the rest 2-3 months. We are accepting guests both in Wroclaw, Poland and Tbilisi, Georgia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I guess it sounds trivial, but I just genuinely love and get so inspired by our world and people of this world. I believe we all should share positivity and our experiences, and I believe sometimes a simple smile is enough to make someone's day.

The genuine idea of CS community is beautiful- to share, learn, teach, respect, be open, kind and curious.

PHILOSOPHY

Always be kind, cuz everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about.

We don't stop playing because we grow old- we grow old because we stop playing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have quite a lot of hobbies, and I'm curious about lots of stuff.

First of all I gotta mention my huge passion towards learning languages, solving different puzzles, playing table football and table tennis. That's something that gives me a looot of happiness.

Generally I call myself a geek. My big passion is chess and strategical games (HOMM3 is the best gave ever created!). If u wanna get rid of me for some time- just give me some logical puzzle or riddle- I can spend hours trying to solve it :D

I can't imagine my life without art. I believe I'm a creative person- at least I always try to have creative lessons with my students. I am a huge music lover. I dance hip hop, and play the piano and the guitar. I can also rap, but everybody except my mom says I suck in it..
I'm into basically all kinds of music, starting with classical rock, ending with k-pop. I am also a huge fan of musicals and Disney soundtracks :)

My favourite books are sci-fi, with Ray Bradbury being my favourite writer. I'm telling you, this guy was a genius! Recently I opened for myself a whole new world of Witcher, and I think I'm becoming a big fan...

I also used to be into drawing comic books myself, but tbh I haven't done it for a while. Maybe, some day I'll come back to this hobby :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have a rule, in every country I visit I ask local people to write for me on a piece of paper a phrase "Good morning, world! Life is beautiful!" in their own language :) I'm planning to have a huge collection!

Anyway I'll be glad to share anything from my experiences, fun and serious ones, stories, jokes, and of course I'd be happy to share a lot of knowledge about my dear Georgia, which is the most amazing place on the Earth for me :) Even though it's not so popular worldwide, it is super beautiful and it has ancient history, interesting traditions, awesome food and kind people with good sense of humor :)
