ABOUT ME

My name is Svetlana, I am 42 years old. I have lived in different parts of Russia and traveled to other countries. But now I have decided to go on my big trip to South America. I love nature and I am interested in getting to know the nature of different countries and people of other cultures.
I am a very calm person and have no bad habits and addictions (but I can drink some vine in a good company). I love meeting new people, learning about their interesting experience. Trying to see this wonderful life on all sides :)

I love nature in all its manifestations and am not afraid of difficulties, I would prefer to live in the jungle in a small house without comfort than in a luxurious city apartment. I love to work on the land: grow trees and vegetables, take care of pets. I want to make the space around me better, cleaner, kinder, more beautiful - I love to clean and tidy up! I like to cook and take care of people.

I consider myself a creative person. I love music and play the piano, and I'm trying to learn the guitar. A year ago, I started painting with watercolors and will be happy to share this experience with you.

I speak Russian and English, I am learning Spanish and would love to practice!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is, in a way, a journey of self-discovery. I love meeting new people and learning to connect even when speaking different languages. I'm quite an introvert, but I have a lot of warmth and caring within me that I want to share. And I find joy in creating deep connections.

Interests

I can't live in one place and do one thing for long. Over the course of my life, I've tried many things: teaching, tourism, administration, farming, music. In recent years, I've been cooking, and it's really exciting! I am currently studying to be a psychologist.
My main interests now are nature, farming, tourism, cooking, psychology, music, and watercolor painting. And, of course, traveling and learning new things!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most amazing thing I'm grateful for: I lived in big cities for a long time, even though I didn't really like it. And then, at some point, I packed up my things, my son, and moved to a small, green country with rainforests and the sea! I lived there for 10 years... And those were the best years of my life.
Now I'm wondering if I can go to South America and find my home there... )))

I can teach you some Russian language, I am a cook and can surprise you with a Russian food, I traveling a lot and we can discuss any life hacks in this theme. Also I am painting with watercolor and it will be a pleasure to share this.
