About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Pause, breathe, listen - take in these moments so that my memories are much more than just getting to the next thing...

ABOUT ME

I'm married (25yrs) to an amazing man, two beautiful, caring kids (20 and 22 yrs old) and now wondering, "how did that all happen so fast?!"

PHILOSOPHY

Love is the answer - I'm still absorbing/evolving/learning this and will be for my whole lifetime. It's almost too simple to integrate into our complex lives, but at the root of it all, there it is!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm hoping to open our home up to couchsurfing soon - just moved the kids home from college yesterday, and have just the couch, surrounded by 'stuff' until the kids have a chance to get re-organized. We have a natural setting, 30 min. from downtown Seattle that I'd love to share with others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but I'm trying to kick off my couchsurfing with our England/Europe trip which starts in two days.

Interests

I love to garden, hike, cook, spend time with old and new friends and family. My black lab mix/pound dog and I love our daily walks ons the trails of Cougar Mtn. Occasionally I have the chance to paint or make collages and even have a couple things I've done that I really like.

Music, Movies, and Books

Joni Mitchell and McCoy Tyner are a couple of favorites, but I love so much music...obscure films that the Seattle Internation Film Festival brings....My Family and Other Animals by Gerald Durrell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing for me has been observing two human lives develop from pre-infancy to adulthood (my own kids, that is). It really is a treasure that's indescribable until it's experienced first hand.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Mexico, Peru, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
