My name is Santiago, I'm 22 years old and I'm 5th-year med student living and studying in Uruguay. 🇺🇾 At the early age of 17, I had to move away from my hometown in order to pursue my career in the capital city of Uruguay, Montevideo, which forced me to acquire independence at a very young age. 👶🏽 I'm a young enthusiast looking for new experiences and local knowledge. I'm used to live and work with many people, but I also get along very well with individual work. I love traveling, this way I can get to know different cultures. ✈️ PHILOSOPHY Tempus fugit, fugit inreparabile tempus / Time flies, it escapes, irretrievable time. ⏳ I love Couchsurfing, I believe it is a a great community of travelers willing to share their realities, and an excellent way to meet nice people all around the globe, which has nothing to do with a free-of-charge version of a hostel! Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love to visit new places and meet locals, learning about their culture. As I consider myself a citizen of the world, I'm very open-minded and always willing to meet new people who enjoy intercultural exchanges and traveling. 🎒 I believe Couchsurfing it is a great way to meet new people that share the same interests, learning about the place from a local and not from some city-tour which always doesn't show you the real stuff about the place. 🛋
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen almost any kind of music, I really like the music from my country but I consider myself a little bit international when talking about music interests. 🎧 I'm not a huge horror-films-fan, I'm more a commedy-films kind of person, but I'm open to any film category if the movie is worth it. 🎥 I like reading thrillers or detective books, but my favorites are those related with biology or physiology. 👨🏽🔬
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I hitchhiked in several countries around Europe with a friend I met thru Couchsurfing the night before, when I've never done something like that before in my life, and it was a truly amazing experience. Since then, I'm a newbie hitchhiker and really like it! ✌🏼

I want to learn and share culture and language, experiences about traveling... Anything that may enrich me culturally, and of course teach/tell whatever I can! 🤟🏽
What I Can Share With Hosts
I'm a huge languages lover, I speak 5 languages fluently, and I'm an innate teacher, so whoever who wants to learn any of them, I'd be very gladly to. 👨🏽🏫 I don't consider myself a cook, but I can defend myself in the kitchen, and I'm very creative when cooking. 👨🏽🍳
