About Me

ABOUT ME

A very patient and peaceful guy.
A fitness junkie cyclist, amateur rower, sportsman and an adventurous outdoors-minded nomad soul.
A sensitive hedonist urban intellectuel, who is interested in the world and people, and can't say no.
Fond of travelling, hithchiking, couchsurfing, and this whole cultural exchange stuff.
At the moment works in a molecular biology lab and learns Finnish.
Mix these up, it will result someone like me:)

Ehh, I almost forgot that I'm an onion and garlic fan.

CURRENT MISSION

explore myself, find my way

PHILOSOPHY

Basically: live and let live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly hosting, sometimes surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Yes, I have. Couchsurfing is cool.

Interests

People, places, books, mountains, rivers, music, beers, wines, bikes, thoughts etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am quite uneducated movie-wise, but there are some favourites: Fellini's Rome, Down by law, Braindead. I enjoy laughing at the craziest and bloodiest trash movies. I like the series Banditskiy Peterburg and 'allo 'allo as well. Tommy Wiseau's The room is a must.

Music: classic rock, blues, world music, rock&roll, oldies, dixieland etc.
Bands/Artists I can listen to any time: Ali Farka Toure, Klezmatics, Karabély, Cesaria Evora, Ian Siegal, Pink Floyd, Ry Cooder, Rory Gallagher, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Ripoff Raskolnikov, Kéknyúl (Blue rabbit) Hammond Band..

Some favourite writers: Graham Greene, Marquez, Lawrence Norfolk, Robert Merle, Kundera, Hrabal, Umberto Eco, Arthur Koestler, Bulgakov, Kurt Vonnegut, Ljudmila Ulickaja, Hungarian poet (and writer) Faludy György.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every moment was amazing when I felt like being part of the nature or I faced with its power and beauty.
I survived a serious brain stroke.
I completed the infamous Budapest-Baja rowing regatta, which covers a distance of 165 kilometers.
