About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Keep living the dream!

ABOUT ME

I grew up running around the mountains and deserts of Utah, but being a wanderer and adventurer, I eventually landed here in Talkeetna, a beach town in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness, and one of the last frontier towns in the U.S. I live in a little cabin in the woods, and manage to survive by doing a little bit of everything. Construction, guiding, cooking, and substitute teaching have been my "careers" the past several years. In between cross country, backcountry skiing, and going mental all winter, summer is fishing and float trips on the rivers, or jumping in the lakes for a swim when it finally heats up. When I'm not fixing my truck, or shoveling snow, I chop wood. In the meantime I drink Glacier Brewhouse, Midnight Sun, or Broken Tooth IPA.

PHILOSOPHY

Simplicity. Work as little as possible. Never stop learning, living, and dreaming. Never stop traveling, and never stop surfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted countless surfers in my little cabin over the past several years, while I’ve surfed a few times on the Big Island of Hawaii, and Europe. While in Europe and once in Hawaii, I was able to stay with couchsurfers who had stayed with me in Alaska.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting travelers in Alaska has been a wonderful experience. I’ve met so many wonderful people from every corner of the globe. I look forward to visiting some of them when I hit the road again!
