I get what life has to offer!

ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Talles, living in Macaé (Rio de Janeiro state) – it’s not Rio or Búzios, but close enough and with its own special vibe. 🌊 I’m a recently graduated psychologist and also work in local government. I’ve also taught English, which gave me the chance to meet many people and hear different life stories.

I’m naturally curious and love sharing ideas, learning about cultures, and trying new foods. I believe every meeting is an opportunity to learn something new. At the same time, I enjoy sharing a bit of my own culture and the Brazilian way of life.

I’d describe myself as easygoing, respectful, and open, but also someone who enjoys good laughs, long walks, and conversations that can go from light to deep.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For me, traveling is not only about seeing places but about connecting with people. I’d like to host travelers, show them a bit of my city, and learn from those who pass by. When I travel, I don’t just look for accommodation: I look for meaningful experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got to know the CS project through a friend that's very active, always attending to regional meetings and hosting people.

My first CS experience was hosting a couple of boyfriends— one from Colombia and another from France — and I was amazed by how much Couchsurfing can bring into our lives. Each person brings a story, an energy, and a different way of looking at the world.

Interests

Meeting people and discovering cultures

Good conversations about art, psychology, music, or simply life

Photography and the art of capturing moments

Food (I love tasting new flavors, even if I’m not a chef 😅)

Music, reading, cinema

Walking around and finding unexpected places

I'm not an expert in any of these but I'm totally open to receive as much information as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

My playlist is pretty eclectic, and I enjoy discovering new sounds. I like movies and books that are adventurous, dramatic, or thought-provoking — but I also love lighter ones that just make you laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some Portuguese or English.

I’d love to learn about different cultures, local dishes, and ways of life.

I can share good stories, laughs, and that warm Brazilian vibe.

What I Can Share with Hosts

For me, Couchsurfing is all about people, connections, and memories. If you ever come to Macaé, you’ll be more than welcome to share the simple moments that often turn out to be the most special.
