I think humor and holding out a hand in friendship is the first building block of humanity understanding. I enjoy to know many cultures, ethnicities, traditions, religions, and lifestyles. We are gay friendly here so np.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I moderate a group called Touring southern Illinois - SIU on CS.

I both host/travel. I like to narrate daytrips in the SI area. I am near Carbondale, IL and SIU. I want to give international students a chance to take photo memories of their stay in USA and share with folks back home. I host males only mostly because of my age, the physical set up here at the house and neighborhood, and comfort.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I enjoy to show my beautiful southern Illinois. It is out of the way and not near a large city, so very few people get the experience and history of the Shawnee Forest Area.

I was a southern straight dancer on the Southern and Midwest Powwow Trails for 20 years.

I like to show the various fauna and natural settings of the area where I live. I am a history teacher by profession.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Information on Native American Culture and photography tips. Also, how to trace your family genealogy. I guide wildflower photo hikes in the Shawnee National Forest last week of March and first week of April.
