About Me

Professional daydreamer, part-time traveler, and full-time chai enthusiast.

I always wanted to travel full-time… but my wallet, family, and life had other plans. That didn’t stop me though—I’ve managed to solo travel to Kolkata (what a wild ride!) and explore Bhutan back when it was free—no taxes, no drama, just pure zen.

Back home, I’ve been to every single district—yes, every one. But don’t expect me at the fancy tourist spots. I’m the kind of person who takes the road less Instagrammed. I like dusty tea stalls over trendy cafes, unknown villages over crowded beaches, and awkward conversations with strangers in markets over guided tours.

I don’t need luxury—give me a good story, a hot cup of tea, and a weird adventure, and I’m happy.

If you’re into offbeat travel and random deep talks with strangers, let’s connect!

⚠️ I’m working full-time, so my time’s a bit limited. I usually don’t respond to messages without a proper reference or clear purpose. If you want to ask or suggest something, please be direct and to the point. Messages like “hello” or “how are you?” without context usually get skipped – nothing personal, just trying to manage time better. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for understanding!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because hotels are boring, hostels can be hit or miss, and nothing beats the joy of meeting real people with real stories (and hopefully real tea). I’m not here just for a free place to sleep—I’m here to connect, share laughs, exchange culture, and maybe even cook you a meal that doesn’t set off your smoke alarm.

Traveling is not just about places for me, it’s about people. Couchsurfing gives me a chance to meet awesome humans, hear their stories, and create new ones together. Plus, I’ve found that some of life’s best moments happen when you’re sitting on someone’s couch, not scrolling on a travel app.

Interests

I’m a curious soul with a deep love for adventure and exploration. I’m passionate about travel, especially off-the-beaten-path destinations where I can connect with the real essence of a place—its people, culture, and stories. I’m always in the mood for a good thriller or suspense movie, and my love for Satyajit Ray and his iconic creation, Feluda, is something I can never stop talking about. When it comes to music, I’m stuck in the 90s and early 2000s—pure lyrics, pure vibes. Whether it’s solo travel, cooking up some Bangladeshi dishes, or connecting with locals over a cup of chai or a cigarette, I’m all about the simple, raw experiences that life offers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m stuck in a beautiful time loop of 90s and early 2000s music—when lyrics made sense and heartbreak came with a poetic soundtrack. If it has soul, I’m in. If it has auto-tune and no meaning… I’ll pass, politely.

Movies? Give me crime, thrillers, and suspense any day. Gangs of Wasseypur? Masterpiece. The Godfather? I’m still quoting it in random arguments. If the plot doesn’t involve a mystery, a morally grey character, or a body in the trunk, I probably won’t finish it.

Books? I’m a huge fan of Satyajit Ray, especially his Feluda series. If Feluda ever opened a detective agency, I’d be the unpaid intern just for the experience. I live for adventure, mystery, and the kind of plot twist that makes you sit up and say, “Wait, WHAT?!”

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once traveled solo to Kolkata with no fixed plan, no fancy bookings, just a backpack and blind faith in street food and strangers. Got lost, made friends, almost missed a train, found the best chai of my life, and came back with stories I’ll be telling my grandkids (or random tea stall uncles) forever. It was chaotic, unplanned, and absolutely perfect.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you how to make a killer cup of street-style chai, whip up some easy Bangladeshi comfort food, and travel smart on a budget (with a good chance of getting lost in the most beautiful way).
But no, I won’t teach you programming or anything from my academic books—this is Couchsurfing, not a TED Talk.

Learn: I’d love to learn your favorite local recipes, a few words in your language, and how to not burn toast (still struggling). I’m also super curious about different cultures, hidden gems in your city, and those quirky local habits you didn’t realize were quirky.

Share: Stories, snacks, music from the 90s, my love for all things suspenseful, and maybe a few too many random facts no one asked for. Also, deep convos over tea? Count me in.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A cozy space to stay, where the vibe is laid-back and the door is always open to fellow wanderers. I’ll share some delicious homemade meals (expect spice overload), endless cups of tea, and, if you’re a fellow cigarette enthusiast, I’ll happily share one with you while we talk about life, travel, and everything in between. You’re welcome to kick back, explore the local gems I’ll point out, or simply relax and enjoy the music I’ll have playing in the background. Whether you want some alone time or good conversation, I’m all about creating a comfortable space where you can just be yourself. My home is your home, minus the formalities.
