Hi, I'm Taylor :). My current interests are always changing (focus is hard) but right now I'm into mushroom foraging 🍄, backcountry skiing ❄️ , and piano 🎹. I don't believe in favorites but if I did my favorite composer would be Chopin. A few fun facts: - I once got robbed at gunpoint in Guatemala when I was 18 - I have written a few pretty popular medium posts: https://medium.com/@twm013 (over 200k views) - I have 37 cousins just on my mom's side of the family. 35 out of 37 live in Texas - I learned to cook for the first time by cooking a 5 course meal for 40 people per night at an off the grid hut in the mountains of New Hampshire. Hosting: I live in a 2 Bedroom House in the Mission 🌯 district of San Francisco with my lovely roommate Yash (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/imyashmittal). I don't have many references but I'm mentioned to many of Yash's glowing reviews if you want to verify that we don't bite. We have a couch available for 1-2 couch surfers. If you want to see the inside of a boujee tech company office while you're in SF, we can help with that 😉 I'm always down for good conversations and adventures. Bonus points if you've lived in another country. Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading and listening to music! I don't watch movies as often as I'd like but always open to recommendations. We have plenty of books in our apartment for you to check out. Here are a few favorites: Books: Shantaram, Goldfinch, American Kingpin, Kitchen Confidential, Understanding Media Music: Jeremy Zucker, Chelsea Cutler, Head and the Heart, Vampire Weekend, King Princess Movies: Moonrise Kingdom
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Splitboarding up Mt. Shasta and sending it from the summit! If you're not familiar - Mt. Shasta is a 14k high volcano that makes up the longest backcountry ski run in the lower 48 of the U.S (> 6k vertical feet). This mountain absolutely kicked my ass, but for some unknown reason, I forced myself to do it twice :). The 2nd time was on the 1st day of summer.
Teach, Learn, Share
Pen spinning, cooking (I've been told my risotto is pretty good), juggling, crazy travel stories.
What I Can Share With Hosts
Good vibes, good conversations, good food, and good wine. What more could you want?
