ABOUT ME

I have had the great fortune to have been a devotee of several great Spiritual Masters during my life. This has given life meaning and purpose, participating in and responding to what is Great and therefore Beautiful. It is the beautiful that shines - in music and literature, nature, people, and all the arts that is attractive and truly inspiring.

PHILOSOPHY

We are all connected deeply at heart and thus dependent on one another, not only for human survival but for the most profound and highest human expression of being, which is love, the source of real intelligence, tolerance, cooperation and compassion with all others, regardless of apparent differences. The only sane way to live is in service to all living beings.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

During an occasion of Darshan in the company of my Spiritual Master while on meditation retreat in Fiji I experienced his transmitted infusion of spiritual energy into the body so strongly the body went into spontaneous yoga postures. I later learned this was the origin of hatha yoga postures, the bodily inspiration of divine force.
This was not by any means an isolated experience of spiritual energy. However, one very important lesson through countless incidents has been that spiritual experiences do not make someone 'spiritual', any more than negative experiences make one a negative person. It's what we do with it. In fact, some times spiritual experiences can tend to bring out the worst in people: vanity, self-importance, self-righteousness, superiority, and so forth. I noticed over and over that even after the most exquisite experiences i could quickly return to being a colossal asshole. :-)

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I am a certified meditation and hatha yoga teacher. Understanding and practicing health and bodily conductivity has been a strong life interest.
