About Me

Practice showing up fully.

I am passionate about my practices. I love meeting uncertainty with playfulness and discovering how I can create this life moment after moment.

Despite my soft-spoken demeanor, I try to live mindfully, struggle a lot, challenge ideas and norms, and all this can lead to some deep and fascinating places. My favorite thing is engaging in conversation for hours about social justice, culture, food, spirituality, mental health, intersectionality, or whatever it is that fuels your passion.

I spent 8 months living and working at a Zen Buddhist monastery in California. It was an incredible experience and I'd love to share some stories with you. I started a cafe with my cousin, then worked for a month on a permaculture farm in the French countryside. My practice of a movement/dance form called contact improvisation has become central in my life, and a parallel process to my training as a therapist.

I am currently in a masters program for counseling psychology, which has challenged growth in unexpected ways. Prior to this I worked at a non-profit that offers leadership development to social justice leaders. As far as I know, I’ll want to quit in a year to grow Chinese vegetables in the countryside ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have surfed in Europe, found hitch-hiking companions, and met other unforgettable characters in various cities through the Couchsurfing network. So incredibly grateful for the connections I've made here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Expressed more through a hug, or gaze, than possible with words.

Felt closer to nature than to any human being.

Lost the sense of Self.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share some things that are close to me, such as contact improvisation, meditation, somatics, psychology, community, music, travel experiences, non-violent communication, racial justice, challenging our beliefs and assumptions, and play.

Share with me something you love, and I will probably fall in love with it too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Friendship, home-cooked meals, engaged conversations, appreciation.
