ABOUT ME

I have lived in Houston my whole life, but love to travel and explore other cultures.

I love being active and outdoors. I am drawn to water and like wakeboarding / wakesurfing.

7 years ago I opened New Living, a green building and home store that focuses on non-toxic options for the home (paint, flooring, countertops, etc).

Recently opened a craft beer garden in midtown houston. www.axelradbeergarden.com
That keeps me pretty busy.

Since I work for myself, I can take some time off when I want, but tend to work more than an average person. I guess thats what entrepreneurs do...

It’s just me and my dog, and a cat and 35 chickens and 2 ducks (got a bit carried away during Covid)

My mantra is "Work like you dont need the money, Love like you've never been hurt, and Dance like nobody's watching."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly host. Tried to couchsurf in India, but hotels were cheap so I met up with some people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really enjoy taking time out of my life to meet cool travelers and show them a side of Houston they dont really read about (although Houston is getting a lot more good press lately).

I love helping people start businesses. Working with passionate people energizes me and lets me vicariously be a part of their mission.

Went Island hopping in Croatia.

If we can swing it, I love to take people out on the lake and teach them wakesurfing. Its not too hard and I love watching people ride their first wave.
I also like to share hole in the wall places and cool experiences in Houston.
