About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn unique trade skills by traveling the globe, living and working wherever I go.

ABOUT ME

I'm a happy balance between being an introvert and an extrovert. I'm an extrovert because I draw my energy from the people around me and will seek out the company of people with good spirits. On the other hand, sometimes I like to just observe and not fill the space for the sake of talking.

PHILOSOPHY

I am passionate about people and my energy comes from simple conversations and life experiences with those around me. I am a fantastic listener, but I also enjoying sharing my own stories when someone is interested. I believe our greatest asset in life is each other and while I am a very independent person, I don't take it for granted that I must rely on the kindness of other people. I have always strived to maintain a balanced life carrying an open, free spirit, while also adhering a bit of structure and plan.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

TO FUTURE HOSTS
Please be comfortable being open and transparent in your expectations of me as a couch surfing guest. It's a beautiful thing for people to let strangers into their home, so don't be shy about being straightforward about what you expect!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The morals and philosophy of couch surfing is exactly how I live my life, with an open mind and spirit towards new experiences, good conversation, and other people. Couchsurfing has allowed me to say in the chaotic neighborhoods of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania to the upmarket luxury homes of South Africa. Each surf is completely unique and whether I sleep on the floor or a pillow-top mattress I am so grateful for the opportunity and can't wait to give it back.

Interests

Traveling while keeping a healthy lifestyle. I love a good round of ping pong, especially when played with monks. I love local street food where you never really know what you will get. I love entrepreneurial thinking, ideas, and projects. I love finding the "hole in the wall" types of places and enjoy a rustic style of living.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Soo many things, but the most amazing things come from life's little moments and unspoken exchanges.

Teach, Learn, Share

A bit about my background. I graduated from Syracuse University in 2010, but continued to stay in Upstate NY for the next few years working on my business Squeeze My Tees, while also working for the University. I was tasked with helping students turn their passions into entrepreneurial endeavors. After working for a few years, I packed up and moved to South Africa where I worked for a small grocery store located in a township, learning everyday from the people around me. I want to continue that journey living and working across the globe.
