Music, Movies, and Books
Music: hip hop, classical, West African, Kwaito, soul Books: Lots. Mot recently read Blood River by Tim Butcher, a modern take on the "Heart of Darkness" and I highly recommend it. I also just finished "emergency sex and other desperate measures"; as a UN staff member I found it's candid, no-holds-bar critique of UN weaknesses and failures refreshing but was at the same time was inspired by the authors' achievements - despite their modesty about them - while in the system, against tall odds. Movies: Too many favorites, but just saw "the King's Speech" and "the Social Network" - both were brilliant.
