If your request to stay is rejected, it is because you have little information on your profile, or you sent me a request without reading my "My Home" section. 'No references' is not a big deal.
My place is not your $0 AIRBNB. If you are looking to just shower & sleep, do not send me the request.
Even though I live here, I haven't come close to discovering 1/10 of New York City.
Making a new friend on the spot in a strange place, officiating a wedding for a lovely pair of couch surfers, and using expiring frequent flyer miles to fly to Vegas by myself is a quick snapshot of who I am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to meet new people when I'm in a new city.
When I have the time, I like to show tourists the "not Times Square" real New York City and also host when I can. I go to private parties with my friends that cost $0 (art, fashion, music) and like to invite people as I usually get an extra ticket.
I officiated the wedding of a couple on New Year's Day 2014 who met on this website in Israel. The wedding was at Grand Central Terminal. 100 tourists surrounded us and thought the couple was famous and snapping photos of all of us.
