We are an American family of five that has been living and working in Kyiv, Ukraine since 2014. Our wunderlust has carried us all over the world as both #expats and travelers. As Jennifer likes to say - we are allovering. In our time together as a couple, our life has taken us from Southern California (USA) to Texas (USA). Texas to Central Asia. Central Asia to Maryland (USA). Maryland to the Washington State (USA). Washington State to Oregon (USA). Oregon to Ukraine. Individually we've lived in Wales and Utah (Jennifer) and Alaska and Pennsylvania. Experiencing the world is important - Jennifer also likes to say that it is easier to move than change husbands. The excitement of a new town, new apartment, new parks, new restaurants, etc. keeps life (and romance) fresh. While we tend to make light of our constant motion - we are deliberate in our movements. Living and working overseas, especially as international school educators, provides our family with unique opportunities that we wouldn't have otherwise. We are also determined to raise our three children with a holistic, progressive and pragmatic world view.

But even though its been a while since our last move - doesn't mean mean we are giving up our traveling ways. We've done a fair amount of exploring here in Ukraine: Ivano-Frankivsk, the Carpathian Mountains, Lviv, Lutsk, Rivne, Korosten', Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Myrhorod, Bila Tserkva, Odessa and Vylkove. We've also stretched our legs a bit with trips further abroad to: Barcelona, Istanbul, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Vienna, Prague, Tbilisi, Moscow, Amsterdam, England, Thailand, Prague, Budapest, Sweden, California, the Pacific Northwest the United States , British Columbia, and Alaska. Our friends and family have called us 'intrepid' doing all this travel with three young kids. We think 'crazy' might be a more apropos description. We are wrapping up year 6 in Ukraine (the place grew on us) and will put in one more year before taking off for a Gap Year. Interested in hosting us in 2021 - 2022? Never too early to start planning.
