I joined the CS community in 2005, in Trondheim. The city had about ten members. I had heard about the more established Hospitality Club and this sort of thing seemed like an awesome way to meet interesting people from around the world.

Caught by darkness on a mountain in Lofoten and forced to bivouac on a tiny rock shelf using our ropes as blankets in near freezing temperatures. Terrible planning, but very memorable.
