CURRENT MISSION Obtaining the education necessary to get a research job in genetics and fix a couple of problems I managed to figure out the solutions to on my own. ABOUT ME In no particular order: I'm a dreamer. I think of ways to fix things often-to make things better. I'm quiet-a better listener than speaker-but I like bouncing ideas off of people. I have an obsession with spelling and grammar that is unnatural at best and unhealthy at worst, which impedes my language learning ability, as I try to get everything exactly right-in short, I'm a perfectionist. My childhood was cut short, and I'm still learning how to live this life, but most people find me mature, calm and relaxed, and intellectually engaging. I like to write-it gives me an opportunity to exercise my voluminous vocabulary-but I haven't written for "fun" much as of late. I enjoy physical activities, with my favorite being basketball, as I'm aptly suited for it due to my height. Soccer has always had a place in my heart, though, and I frequently go on long runs just for the sake of running. The sights and sounds of a city don't mean that much to me-I consider the world to be just one huge city-it's the people that matter. I'm not inclined to be impressed by a club or a fancy restaurant, but although I don't breathe music as the rest of my generation does, I can be moved by an extraordinary performance. I normally only watch movies once-perhaps twice-and I don't leave my playlist of songs on endless loop, either. I have an impressive memory for that sort of thing, and can recall large aspects and even entire plotlines years after the fact, so replaying the same material is redundant to me. However, to others, it seems that I get less enjoyment out of the media. PHILOSOPHY Life is all about the people that you meet. The things don't matter, and money is a figment of our imagination. There is a story somewhere in the Bible (you can tell I'm not very religious, since I don't know where it is and can't quote it) stating that our sins deserve the same punishment as those of the Devil, by virtue of them being sins, but I believe the difference is that while we are imperfect, we try. I believe everyone deserves to be happy.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING The catastrophic event sequence that was my visit to Texas brought me here. Didn't want to put myself in the same position again. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Went to Texas to visit two people: a friend and a love interest. Neither went very well, particularly as I didn't plan it adequately, but at least I still have the friend-or rather, again. Good things did come of it, though-among them, my eyes are now open to things they were not before. My living situation has historically been sufficiently in a state of flux to qualify as "couch surfing", but that hardly seems what is being asked for.
