ABOUT US
Hey!
We are Magalie and Timor, 30 and 31 years old. Magalie is from Switzerland and Timor is from Israel, and for the past few years we have been living together in Bern.
Timor left Israel about ten years ago with a backpack and a one way ticket, and since then the world has slowly become home. After years of traveling through Southeast Asia, East Africa, and other parts of the world, life in Switzerland gave us both a bit of balance, amazing mountain views, and a deep appreciation for good bread and punctual trains.
Now we are back on the road, exploring South America together. We started our journey in August, with no fixed route, just curiosity, open hearts, and the wish to meet kind and inspiring people along the way.
Couchsurfing has been part of our lives for many years. It helped us meet people in ways that regular travel never could. We have surfed couches, shared stories, cooked meals, and made friendships that felt real and lasting.
We are easygoing, respectful, and always interested in people and their stories. We love hiking in nature, cooking together, discovering local food, photography, music, and learning from different cultures.
We do not need much, only a good vibe, a cozy corner to sleep, and some nice conversation.
Looking forward to crossing paths somewhere in the world 🌍
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We are on Couchsurfing because we love meeting new people and exploring places beyond the tourist spots. It is a wonderful way to see the world through local eyes, build real connections, and create memories that go far beyond any guidebook.

Music, Movies, and Books
We are always open to discovering new music. During the day we usually enjoy instrumental sounds.
Timor doesn't read a lot, but one book that really stayed with him is The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. It is simple yet powerful. Magi loves to read, especially books with true backgrounds.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Timor once hitchhiked over 2,200 kilometers across India in just four days just to make it on time for the Holi Festival. It was wild, colorful, and unforgettable!
Magi lived one year on a remote Island in Canada.
Teach, Learn, Share
We have both been traveling for several years and have gathered many stories, moments, and photo albums from different corners of the world. We love sharing experiences, learning from others, and exchanging ideas and cultures along the way.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If we cross paths, we would love to cook you an Israeli style shakshuka for breakfast, fresh, warm, and full of flavor. We are always happy to share stories, help around the house, or simply bring good energy and smiles to your space.
