About Me
--- Please read the full profile before requesting a couch 🙏 ---
Hi travelers
I'm Timo, 41 yo, native Belgian, and a travel-addict.
I call myself a 'slow traveler'. I like to discover in depth and stay long at places and/or with people. I want to learn from your culture, ideas, religion, knowledge, spirituality..
Most of all I enjoy meeting people from around the globe, without any prejudice. Just to hangout and exchange thoughts, discover places, share moments.
At the moment I'm recovering from a bicycle accident. So I have plenty of time to host people.
I also like to travel myself. And by hosting people I also hope to get to meet people who want to host me back, as happened a couple of times before.
While traveling and couchsurfing I try to discover the world, people and their cultures, ideas and religions.
It's also just a great way to live, travel and pass time
-- BY THE WAY --
• I live in GENT, not Brussels
• This is not a (free) Airbnb. I want to get to know my guests and spent some time with them
• Less is more: limit your luggage to one backpack 🎒 I've seen so many travelers struggling with suitcases.
• My '2 days rule': you can request as much days as you want, but I accept only 2 days "tryout". If all goes well, it can be prolonged.
• Showers 🚿: yes it's possible, but please keep them short, I use gas bottles to heat the water. So I'm limited in hot water
Thanks for understanding 🙏
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing it's fun. I'm social and love to meet people.
I avoid hotels because they lack genuine social interaction and are unreasonable expensive
