About Me

I am a convivial, open-minded person, willing to meet new people from different parts of world. I am interested mainly in their interests, customs and culture common in their countries of origin. Fortunately as a customer service agent at Emirates Airline, I am always in contact with people of different nations, however not personally, that s why I try to get in touch with foreigners/expats/CSers also in my free time. Actually I live and work in a beautiful city called Budapest in Hungary, but I have been living for the most of the time in Slovakia, in a little town called Komarno.

PHILOSOPHY

For every change in life a huge amount of courage is needed that most of people are unable to find. They seek namely for security for every price even though that price is actually an unhappy life.

Do not worry making changes in life, quitting routines from time to time. It adds color to your life. Couchsurfing can be part of such changes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have joined Couchsurfing in 2014 for a simple reason, to find and meet local people outside of the workplace in Stuttgart, Germany where I was doing an internship. I was offered an accommodation by my company there, but I realized there that all my roommates are all my compatriots and I did not know any local living there with whom I could talk with after work. Then I have told myself it is time to join CS, so well praised by my friends. Up till now I have used it to attend CS events, guiding travellers in my city, surfing and hosting.

Interests

I like learning and practicing foreign languages, discovering foreign cultures and travelling.

As far as cultural issues are concerned, I like to listen to music and also doing it as I sometimes play on the saxophone for my own entertainment, occasionally giving concerts to friends.

Apart from that, I like going to theatre, cinema, and concerts. I like particularly Czech beers, Spanish tapas, Italian pizzas, French gratin dauphinois and moules frites from the many food I like.
As for sport I enjoy cycling, swimming, hiking, roller and ice skating, skiing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- During my university studies in Bratislava I managed to overcome my aversion to all paperwork associated with the programme ERASMUS and joined it 3 times, once in Toulouse, France for studying there one semester at university and twice doing internships in Huelva, Spain and Stuttgart, Germany. I stroke up friendships there mainly with foreign students that I try to maintain as long as possible.

- travelled through US from south (Miami) to northeast (NYC) in 2 weeks by bus, car and train
- experienced memorable moments in Cambodia and Thailand
