Resumen
Sobre mí
I went travelling in my 20's and absolutely loved it, I love the social side of travelling, meeting new people and just how friendly everyone was in the travelling\hostel communities around the world.
Can't wait to see more of the world one day but in the meantime ive taken a career break to raise my twins. They're 5 years old now and starting school so the career break is over, can't wait to get back to work because i'm going to start a new career in something I'm actually passionate about.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I miss travelling and meeting people from different parts of the world, so im on couchsurfing primarily to host (in the short term anyway) and maybe one day soon i'll be the surfer :)
I believe that the vast majority of people are good and these kind of organisations (like couchsurfing) - that are based on trust - are amazing and appeal to me.

Música, películas y libros
fav music = is my collection of CD albums from my teens (in the 90's). alsosome older stuff like led zepp, clash, bowie, stones and many more. I bought a record player a couple years ago and bought a couple of billy connelly albums the other day from the 70s when he did folk music.
I saw Deadpool recently and thought it was really funny! Generally the new wave of comic book hero movies are not my thing at all but i loved that one; any movie that doesnt take itself too seriously seems to sit well with me. I've watched hundreds of movies over the last few years but experimented with having no TV (!) a year ago and ive not missed it much (surprisingly!).
In terms of books ive just been grabbing random novels in charity shops so they are a bit hit and bit miss. But I love Bill Bryson
Algo increíble que he hecho
I'm quite proud that i quit my career in IT Project Management to pursue a new career in child welfare and helping parents. I took this financial risk because I wanted to follow my passion and to do something more good/worthwhile. I first became a full time parent, and poured my heart and soul into giving my twins the best start in life, even reading a range of parenting books from the most respected authors (and neuro-scientists) on the planet in desperation when things got tough!
So.......maybe not AMAZING as such but it's a big thing to wave goodbye to something like a career that you have been working on for 15 years to start with a clean slate. The future is bright - I hope :D
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I'd like to learn more about yoga, meditation and learn to play the guitar.
I am getting good at cooking and I have learnt so much about nutrition, health & fitness in the last couple years too.
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
I can share my time, my food, my couch, my beautiful home town (our house faces onto rolling hills and countryside)and my friends. My kids live here one week, and with their mother the next week, so you may or may not be lucky enough to meet my little rays of sunshine.
I'd like to think it can share my knowledge, from long country walks, to sight seeing to nights out in the bright lights of Glasgow! (where i lived for a few years). so im flexible depending on they type of surfer that shows up on my couch.
