Hi! I'm Tom and I just got back from a long trip through Canada and the U.S. I started using couchsurfing there and met some amazing people. Now I'm looking forward to pay some of that hospitality back and start hosting travelers here in Dresden. So if you're looking for a host or someone to hang out with or show you around, hit me up we'll see if we can make it happen!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I noticed that my way of traveling let's you see a lot of the beautiful landscape, but you only get to know the locals on a superficial level. Couchsurfing is a good way to change that and better get in touch with locals and fellow travellers. I met amazing people and experienced so much hospitality, couchsurfing really has been awesome so far. Now it's time for me to get a taste of the other side and see how it is to be the host myself.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Watching the sun rise at New Zealand's East Cape, which made us the first people in the world to see the sun that day Crossing an active volcano - twice - and climbing Mt. Doom Living in Venice and working in the Ducal Palace Driving an 850 km gravel road up to the Arctic Ocean to swim there Staying with nudist hosts in New York City Attending the opening show of a Cirque du Soleil Show in Montreal - for free Becoming a honorary Newfoundlander by kissing a cod while being trapped in several snow storms
Teach, Learn, Share
I guess I could teach you one or two things about my region's history and culture, about architecture in general and some German of course. I'm also a pretty decent city guide for Dresden and the towns around.
What I Can Share With Hosts
Stories of my travels, an open ear for your stories and maybe a nice German or Italian recipe?
