Hi! I'm Tomo!

I was born in the countryside but moved to Tokyo because of university. After graduation, I worked at a recruitment company for 6 months, quit, then flew to travel around africa and the middle east. I had a GREAT GREAT GREAT time there and now my goal is to continue traveling when I'm still young. Now I founded a company with my friend and moved to Okayama. Hopefully this brings me enough money to go abroad🤑

In my free time, I read books, do art, write stories, go to theaters, watch basketball games, meet my friends, etc. I enjoy both going outside and staying inside. The world is big so there is so much to do.

I am really looking forward to having a great time with you all. Traveling and meeting new people has helped me in a lot of ways and I will continue to do that till I die. See you soon!!

*Because I started a company with my friend, my job is quite unpredictable. I usually work online but sometimes I have to go out of Okayama. I've never had to do this before, but there is a chance that I might have to cancel your stay. I would appreciate it if you could keep that in mind (it will probably not happen but just in case)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and have fun! For me, the best part of traveling is to meet locals and spend time together. I love hearing wonderful stories. I also like sharing stories. And I am sarcastic.

(I do not view myself as sarcastic, but my friends tell me otherwise so I guess I am. I'm also Japanese so I must be polite. That means I'm polite-sarcastic. I just invented a new word. Congrats to me!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day, I accidentally pushed my sister into the river. She started crying. At the riverbed, a bunch of salmon were chilling out. They got startled and swam away. I felt sorry and apologized to the salmon.
