I was born and grew up in Denmark. When I finished high school, I bought a mountain bike and a ticket to Peru and rode south to Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. Life was never the same. The next year I cycled from China to Denmark. The following from Mexico to Argentina and over the following years in Central Asia, the Middle East, North America and several long trips in the highest mountains of Asia - the Himalayas, Pamirs, Karakorams and Hindu Kush. I met my wife, Cassie, in a small town in the Indian Himalayas. She is from the States. We have been living in Colorado and California in recent years, and now we travel with our two little boys, Silas and Bastian, who are 3 and 0 years old. Cassie is on a long maternity leave, and I work on the road - I'm the editor in chief of an adventure travel magazine, freelance for various magazines and am currently writing my second book. Years ago i did a stint as a crime reporter for an Indian newspaper in Bombay, and now I go home to Denmark to do talks about my trips a couple of times a year. See more on www.toregroenne.com. It's new for us to use couch surfing as a family, and we are super excited who we are going to meet out there! Cheers, Cassie, Silas, Bastian and Tore
