Welcome to my profile, fellow CouchSurfers =) I’m Alex, a humorous guy with a philanthropic attitude who is eager to learn something new each day. My references vouch for me.

My current mission for 2015:

- Accomplishing my training as foreign language correspondent with a great result in July. - Living and working abroad in Finland for four weeks from July to August. - Starting my 2nd training as administrative professional with foreign languages and european studies in late August. - Getting a part-time job by September.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

CouchSurfing is a fantastic chance to exchange culture, to get to know a country beyond the touristic ways, to share life experiences, to have fun together and so much more =) Thus, I - organized numerous weekly meetings in Rostock, Germany (2011 – 2012) - moderated the group of Rostock, Germany (2011 – 2012) - surfed couches in Germany, Hungary, Austria and Slovakia (2011 – 2013) - hosted people from approximately 15 countries in Rostock and Berlin (2011 – 2013) - attended various meetings Germany, Hungary, Austria and Slovakia (2011 – 2013) - wanted to surf couches in Andorra and France (both 2014), but nobody responded =( - will never stop using CouchSurfing entirely.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

1988: Born in Brandenburg an der Havel (GDR). As well as my twin brother. Thanks, Mum! 1989: My first steps towards world domination (Well. Let's say my first steps.). 1990: I learnt to speak whereas the Berlin Wall fell. Yeah! Success! 1991: I came to the kindergarden in Brandenburg. Great memories. 1992: My family got Monopoly for Christmas. I still own it! 1993: I played my first Computer game (Boxworld by Jeng-Long Jiang). Instant love ;-) 1994: I came to the primary school in Brandenburg an der Havel. Loved my class. 1995: Began to play the melodica at Musikschule Fröhlich. 1996: Began to play the accordion. Played more than 100 gigs until 2001. 1997: We rescued a cat from a bad animal shelter and raised her with endless love. 1998: We moved the first time. New school. Not funny. Started to learn English. 1999: First time I listened to Lacrimosa (the Elodia album). Still one of the best albums ever! 2000: Started to learn French (forgot it entirely in 2004-2006, restarted learning it in 2013). 2001: Started to play the piano. An endless love began to shine. 2002: Met my first girlfriend. 2003: I flew to Turkey - the first time out of Europe =) 2004: My cruel father moved out. Lucky me. 2005: Saw A reddish-silver moonset above the Peruvian Andes. Will never forget that. 2006: Wrote music for 2 musicals and an album (2006 - 2008). 2007: Started to play in a Rock band. 3 gigs with approx. 250 visitors. Awesome time =) 2008: A-Levels. Moved out. Started to study Latin and Philosophy (Psychology in 2012). 2009: Became seriously ill (again). 2010: Four surgeries, therapy, physiotherapy, no walking for 2 weeks. What a sh*t year for me. 2011: Made my first CS travel through Hungary, Austria and Slovakia. 2012: Passed my first international language exam. 2013: Survived a very tough illness. Broke up my studies. Started my first vocational training. 2014: I did my first internship abroad in France and visited Andorra.
