When i meet a new person from remote place ,i feel as if i am traveling in that place.
And when i go to a remote place, getting to know local people is the best way to discover and understand fully about that place.

My name is Duy, a wood carving artist.

I live in Dien Phong, a peaceful beautiful village near Hoi An. i have a passion for travel. Seeing a new place and meeting new people around the world are such an amazing chance to open my eyes and learn from them, not only cultures, customs but also humankind.

I always think that the spirit of Couchsurfing is the connection among people and people, travelers and locals, suffer and host . Couchsurfing's a chance for me to get to know local and fulfill my perspective of travel

when i was a little boy, i used to appeal children in my village to throw a surprise birthday party for a poor boy . It's always a nice and unforgettable memory.

- 2016: lost in Luang Prabang, Laos and got help from Laos young monks and they help me to sleep in their temple in middle of Mountain.
-2016: a lot of things, but recently one thing i really did is that i got lost in the middle of a field at night in Thailand, then i decided to set my tent up and slept there. It was so creepy :)

- 2022: Teaching Wood Carving for young people in Bhutan for 2 months. It’s such a unforgetable memory.

I'm crazy about books, novels and music. In free time, i often play guitar, draw portraits and i have a passion with sculpture.
So I'm learning sculpture.
I can teach someone guitar and willing to exchange languages, it's awsome.
