ABOUT ME

I would say that I'm a laid back, peaceful and thoughtful person. I like to meet new people and learn about different cultures. I like to laugh, I like to see the good that is in people. I like to talk politics sometimes and believe passionately about things. I'm a democratic socialist, a feminist, although I don't force my opinions on other people. I'm serious and silly in equal measures. I like hearing what about people have to say. I have an open mind - diversity is what makes people interesting.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is: be good to other people and treat others how I would like to be treated myself. Don't bitch and look for the good in others, but keep unkind people at bay. Be open to new experiences and new people. Search for a meaningful life.

Politics, reading, sociology, films, cooking, good food and wine, ski-ing, climbing (well - I've had one lesson and loved it!) going to the gym (although not an interest, just a necessity with my love of good food!), learning salsa, philosophy, mountains, sea, travelling, meeting people,

Music, Movies, and Books

One of my favourite books is Carson McCuller's 'The Heart is a Lonely Hunter'. It's so sad and beautiful. I also loved 'The Little Prince'.
Isabel Allende is my top writer at the moment - The House of the Spirits and Of Love and Shadows were excellent.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paragliding in the Andes, Venezuela. Travelling around the Gran Sabana in Venezuela. Pretty much the entire country was amazing.
