About Me

CURRENT MISSION

New experiences are key, and adventure. I believe we can all agree that it is ADVENTURE TIME!

ABOUT ME

I am currently traveling through as much of Europe as I can afford. Lucky enough to get a job that paid me well, and then laid me off. Now I am trying to see how much of the world I can get to know before I have to go back to work.

I am a fairly laid back person that loves to experience new things, and have as many adventures as possible in my limited time on Earth. If you are a person that can understand why the original "Adventure Time" clip (youtube it) was awesome, then you and I will probably get along.

I love to be in water, I am almost never near a body of water without going swimming, I love to learn new things (learning to dance has been the hardest thing for me), and I love people that have lived interesting lives.

I belive that to do anything is better than doing nothing. Sometimes I don't plan very well.

I am very new to the CS community, but I am mid-travel right now and desperately trying to save as much money as possible. Please be kind if I send you a request, at least respond and tell me if you cannot do it.

PHILOSOPHY

Every moment spent doing -something- is better than a moment spent not doing anything. Its hard to maintain sometimes, but I believe in getting out into the world in every way you can, even if it is scary or new, or you just end up sitting in a corner because you have nothing to say.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just signed onto couch surfing, and have had almost no participation. I live in a place that has a decent amount of couch space, so I intend to open up our houses extra spaces for people when I get back.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

very little experience with couch surfing. I recently sublet my place for several months, so the last month or so has been me bumming a rest on my friend's couches. It has been enjoyable.

Interests

rock climbing, reading, I am a whitewater rafting guide, long hikes, video games (as much as the next person), politics. Been an activist in some form or another most of my life, these days I focus on prison reform.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Immortal Technique, Blue Scholars, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Chevelle, Muse, MGMT, Jay-Z, Seth Walker.
Books: The Kin of Ata Are Waiting for You, Kavalier and Clay, 3 Cups of Tea, Children of the Alley, Stranger in a Strange Land, Good Omens, anything I read of Heinlein, I, Robot, SandMan, Neverwhere, I dunno. Lots of things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been rafting on the: Toulumne River, American River, Eel River, San Juan River, Salmon River, and Rogue River.

Teach, Learn, Share

I sort of learned how to breath fire, using alchohol and a lighter. I would be happy to teach anyone how to rock climb, although I am not so good. I can take people rafting, and I would love to (but you would need to have the boat, cant pack that with me). I want to learn everything, I live with a literal circus normally, so I feel like I need to at least learn to juggle, maybe some acrobatics.
