To spread Peace and Love
I'm quite eccentric and eclectic, but I try to focus on things that are interesting to the people I meet so as not to bore people :) Like most CSers though, I love travelling!
Live true to yourself and no one else
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing, Hosting, Groups, Events, you name it!
I've been a part of CS since 2010 and have been active in the CS communities of London and Vienna. I haven't been as active in the Seattle community unfortunately as I was under 21 for most of my stay. I've hosted and showed people around the area a number of times though.
I have a wide range of interests, writing them down won't really do them justice as I am a super geek at some of them and just a casual fan of others. They range from Classic Rock trivia to Sherlock BBC to Transhumanism. By the time I write down everything, I'd have written a novel. But if there's one interest I really have, it's getting to know YOU in person!
In general though, my primary interests are travelling, startups, astronomy, magic (currently practicing!), music, video games, sports (both playing and watching), and doing crazy things that will stay in my memory till the day I die.
Music, Movies, and Books
The Third Man
The Pursuit of Happyness
The White Ribbon
The Lego Movie
Lord of the Rings
The Big Lebowski (I'm a Dudeist Priest!)
I'm not really too much of a film/movie person as I tend to have a short attention span, but I'm interested in discussing and watching some if you think I would be interested! I've watched a lot of documentaries though but just don't remember the titles.
The Beatles (and solo projects of each)
The Rolling Stones
Michael Learns to Rock
The Jackson Five
Most of my musical tastes revolve around classic rock, but tend to be quite eccentric. I used to be quite the music snob, but I'm against that now. If I find the music appealing, I'll admit that I do even if there's some negative social stigma associated with it.
I strongly prefer books of fact, especially history books, over fiction, but have read some of the latter throughout my life. However, unless it has some significance to cultural development or references to actual events in society, I probably haven't read it, though I wouldn't be against giving it a chance if you feel that I really should. :) I've also lately been reading books covering behavioral economics, consumer psychology, and applied psychology.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Meeting people from around the globe! It's really amazing how I'm able to meet people from countries (and in countries) I only dreamed about when I was a child as well as keep those relationships.
My first time in Europe on March 26, 2010. I thank Hannes Wyss for showing me around the first European city I've been in, Zurich as well as giving me tips on how to truly become a member of the CS community.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am more than willing to share stories and lessons from the experiences I've had in my life as well as various tricks and skills. Whether they're tips for travelling, cooking, playing an instrument, or anything else, I'll always be happy to share!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook some great savory crepes! :) I also have a lot of great stories to share, but I'm really quite interested in hearing yours!
