I am currently unable to host. However, I might be able to meet up or show you around. I'm starting a company here that provides custom in-town tours so I might be able to give a free one at the start :) I am a bit swamped with work in October though, as well as have already made plans with some CS guests so I unfortunately am not likely to be able to do this until November if we haven't connected already.
I'm a nomad, and actually, perhaps the northernmost digital nomad in the world as of this entry. If you know anyone further north though, do let me know! While my nomadic status isn't 100% by choice, it's not all bad as I do love to travel as well as meet people from around the world. I also tend to get bored easily so regularly changing environments (I've moved about six times since 2013) hasn't been a bad thing. However, I am looking for somewhere to settle eventually.
I currently live in Longyearbyen, Svalbard, the northernmost "real" town in the world, thus my claim as the northernmost digital nomad. There are a few settlements further north, but they're not really towns, which leads me to call Longyearbyen as the northernmost town.
If you're coming up here, please do feel free to reach out. I might not always be able to host, but I might be able to meet up, depending on my schedule.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been a part of CS since 2010 and have been active in the CS communities of London and Vienna. I haven't been as active in the Seattle community unfortunately as I was under 21 for most of my stay. I've hosted and showed people around the area a number of times though.
After leaving Seattle in 2014, I haven't been active as well in Fiji due to my living arrangements. I started getting a bit more active after returning to Vienna. Now that I am in Svalbard, I do host and meet up with people occasionally and have met a few of the other CSers here.
I have a wide range of interests, writing them down won't really do them justice as I am a super geek at some of them and just a casual fan of others. But if there's one interest I really have, it's getting to know you in person! I'm always around myself, so it's always more interesting when there are other people around.
In general though, my primary interests are travelling, startups, astronomy, magic (currently practicing!), music, video games, sports (both playing and watching), and doing crazy things that will stay in my memory till the day I die.
- video games
Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list! You should just ask me if and when we meet :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Meeting people from around the globe! It's really amazing how I'm able to meet people from countries (and in countries) I only dreamed about when I was a child as well as keep those relationships. I feel that the people I meet really shape my experience wherever I am.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am more than willing to share stories and lessons from the experiences I've had in my life as well as various tricks and skills. Whether they're tips for travelling, cooking, playing an instrument, or anything else, I'll always be happy to share!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook some great savory crepes! :) I also have a lot of great stories to share, but I'm really quite interested in hearing yours!
