About Me

I grew up in Florida and traveled my home state extensively; mostly camping along the way. Road trips are a favorite of mine here in the US, and I've seen 30+ states so far. Also love to travel abroad. Lucky enough to have experienced a dozen or so European countries as well as an equal amount of asian ones plus a few other odd destinations. I've been home brewing beer for 14 years and like to seek out breweries and beer styles in my travels. I usually travel with a harmonica and am always up for a jam session.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend has been on Couchsurfing for awhile and always had good things to say about it. We have a spare bed for guests and live two blocks from the beach.

Interests

My home brewery has become more elaborate over the years and would probably seem to be my most extensive hobby. But my garage is becoming equally as well stocked in the field of cordless tools and equipment for all sorts of tinkering. I'll spend countless hours perfecting the plans for a project before execution. Jack of many trades with a hand full of specialties.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pretty sure I saw what was an oarfish, or it was just a sea monster. But an oarfish is more likely, however rare. The creature was roughly a dozen feet long and swimming alongside my canoe with several hump-shaped portions of its body exposed above the waterline.

Teach, Learn, Share

Fishing is a hobby of mine, and I'm happy to teach that. Flounder gigging is also relatively easy where I live in Florida. Happy to offer practice with English, help with pool cleaning, harmonica lessons, and beer knowledge, if any of that is of interest.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Happy to cook or take hosts out for dinner/drinks! Happy to share knowledge on pool cleaning, beer making, harmonica playing, fishing, or the various other topics I've become proficient in.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Belize, Cambodia, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam
