ABOUT ME

Kaixo. I'm Tristan.. Irish-German-Basque.. a long story I'd be happy to tell you one day :)

I play the guitar and write songs and this year I will be travelling through Europe and hopefully meet many good people and see some nice places.

I love nature and silence as much as the beauty of words and melodies.

PHILOSOPHY

Well, I love playing music.. For me it's a way of expressing feelings and thoughts.. and it helps me understand what goes on in and around my life.. and I guess the more you know yourself, the easier it is to find and keep your balance..

But far beyond making a living as a musician (which, ofcourse, is also a present), I love what music gives me.. what I learn through it in the process and all the good people and places I meet and see along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Last April I "toured" France, Switzerland and part of Germany for a month, hitchin from town to town, playing concerts and meeting lovely people along the way.

Every day was like a new chapter of an amazing book. Morning after morning getting up in a different town.. a few tunes in the street, before hittin the road.. hitchin' from town to town.. finally getting to the place.. soundcheck, a little walk with somebody showing me around the city, the concert and a few drinks with the people after the gig, before saying goodbye again..

All this was great, but even more so knowing that I organised the whole trip posting on different CS-city pages, asking for advice, where to play... And to see how many people wanted to help and actually made it possible.. that was an amazing experience :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Ooo.. life's full of them.. I guess spending a night on a tall mountain, watching all those falling stars.. arise above a heavenly sea and watch the morning kiss the night away; walking through nature with a big bag and a hammock,

The first time I played in public.. back in Galway, where i started playing my songs in the street and eventually ended up making a living.. hard times.. but happy days.. :)

First big concert, in the Basque Country.. later touring Europe with my band.. for the first time.. uff.. there are soo many amazing moments, life is full of them.. and i am very thankful :)
